Abreu-Prazeres

On this documentary, we can follow conductor Felipe Prazeres' visit to the studio of Sérgio Abreu,
one of the greatest Brazilian guitarists of all time.

The movie is an artistic conversation that echoes the legendary meeting between Alfred Hitchcock and François Truffaut,

and takes us on a fascinating journey through the life and work of Abreu, that won the world's most important guitar award in 1967, but decided to retire as a musician at the peak of his career, and to use his skilled hands exclusively to build guitars.

Who guides us in this journey into the world of luthiery and classical music is Felipe Prazeres, one of the greatest brazilian musicians of his generation, conductor of the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro and spalla at the Petrobras Symphony Orchestra.

"Abreu-Prazeres" is an extraordinary encounter between two artists from different generations, revealing the passion, respect and undeniable connection between these masters of Brazilian concert music.
